The fifth Xacobeo Disc Golf Open will be held from 18th to 20th April 2025, in Santiago de Compostela, a monumental city in Galicia (Spain) whose old town is a World Heritage Site and attracts visitors and pilgrims from all over the world.
The tournament is sanctioned by the PDGA and will adhere to the international rules and standards for B-tier events, ensuring a minimum of €1,500 in prizes for players in professional categories.
Three rounds of 18 holes will be played. Rounds 1 and 3 will feature a shotgun start, with all players beginning simultaneously from different assigned holes. Round 2 will use a staggered start format, with players teeing off from hole 1 at scheduled intervals. This approach accommodates players arriving on Friday morning, allows the final round and trophy ceremony to conclude earlier on Sunday, and provides players with the opportunity to watch others in action on Saturday.
In the event of a tie for first place, a sudden death playoff will determine the winner in each category.
In compliance with the PDGA rules change for 2025, mirrored female categories will be offered until January 12, 2025. If there are no participants in the FP40, FP50, FA3, FA4 or FJ18 categories by that date, they will no longer be offered.

All players, regardless of category, will also receive a mini Tarta de Santiago.
Trophies and cash prizes will be awarded in all Pro divisions, with a minimum of €1500 guaranteed to be distributed among all professional categories. Only trophies will be awarded to the winners of the Amateur categories and other competitions (doubles, distance and putts).
The doubles competition will feature MPO and FPO categories. It can be played throughout the day on Thursday, the 17th, and until 1:00 PM on Friday, the 18th. The doubles competition will always be played on the Pro course. Each pair may include one person who is not registered for the main tournament. This competition is NOT PDGA-sanctioned.
The distance and putting competitions will feature MPO and FPO categories. They will take place on Saturday after the conclusion of Round 2, near Hole 1. These competitions are NOT PDGA-sanctioned.
In each round, one hole will be designated for a competition to see which participant can land closest to the basket on their first throw. Participation in the CTP competition requires an additional fee of €3 (€1 per round). The person who lands the closest in each round will win the pot.
